HIMSS + Eurasia’20 Health Informatics and Technologies Conference and Fair was held on November 11-13 with the participation of all healthcare professionals and healthcare managers in order to discover new practices and developments in the field of health informatics after the pandemic in the new normal with digital conference and fair experience.

HIMSS + Eurasia’20 has brought together senior health authorities, government officials, IT experts and public/private and university hospital managers in a digital environment with the pandemic and health transformation concept. At the point reached the Turkey’s success in health digital transformation and HIMSS EMRAM criteria brought Turkey to the position of a role model for all regional countries and developing countries.

In the “HIMSS + Eurasia’20” conference realized with the support and auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Health AKGÜN was the Platinum Sponsor. In the conference which was held with the cooperation of universities and private hospitals and with the interactive participation of the health authorities of the countries in the region, opportunities to meet with health solutions based on innovation and best IT practices were created after the pandemic.

Within the scope of HIMSS + Eurasia’20 Health Informatics and Technologies Conference, which provides the opportunity to follow current developments in the health sector and to discover future health scenarios brought together the health managers and health informatics professionals with digital hospital, e-health, smart systems and technologies in health, advanced applications in health informatics, artificial intelligence Technologies.

In the HIMSS + Eurasia’20 panels, where what awaits us in the new normal during the COVID-19 pandemic process, issues such as tele-health, mobile health, 3d printing, virtual reality tools, the role of technology in the sustainability of the health system, digitally conscious patients, from HIS to artificial intelligence, the role of health information systems in health management and the robot age in health were brought to the agenda.

In the session of “What Awaits Us in the Digital Transformation of Public and Private Hospitals?” the Deputy General Manager Hakan Karataş gave information about AKGÜN ivital Intensive Care Information Management System which is a first in Turkey in his presentation AKGÜN and Digital Health / Digitalization in Intensive Care Processes.

At the HIMSS + Eurasia’20 panel “In Search of Innovation in Health Institutions, How Do We Encourage Innovation Culture?” AKGÜN Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Ahmet Hamdi ATALAY attended with his presentation on Digital Transformation in Health and explained AKGÜN’s innovative solutions. Digital and Innovative solutions offered by AKGÜN attracted great attention from the participants.

AKGÜN iVital Intensive Care Automation System

Carrying out domestic and national production and R&D studies, AKGÜN once again proved that it is the pioneer of the health sector. With our high R & D and scientific Intensive Care Automation System product, which we developed in 2017 with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and TUBITAK, we transferred all processes in intensive care units to the digital environment. Thanks to our product that makes patient data traceable, manageable and measurable, we facilitate the work of healthcare professionals in this difficult process. With our user-friendly intensive care system, we will bring a different face to our hospitals as the first company to obtain the Turkish Ministry of Health registration certificate.

AKGÜN iVital is a system that enables the electronic recording of medical processes of patients who are under follow-up and treatment in the Intensive Care Units of hospitals, monitoring of treatment processes, monitoring of medical device management and parameters, and notification management of results, reporting and quality measurement tools on all platforms simultaneously.

With AKGÜN iVital to have the first of its kind in Turkey, physiological data produced by various devices in intensive care units can be stored in a single data pool, visualized according to certain criteria, analyzed instantly by responsible doctors and / or nurses, and various score calculations based on patient vital signs are provided. In addition, the vital data trends of the patient are calculated over the periods determined on the stored data, and early alarms and warningse are sent to the responsible doctors and nurses based on previously defined criteria.
