AKGUN SOFTWARE made a difference with Artificial Intelligence Practices at HIMSS 2019 Global Conference and Exhibition.

As AKGUN SOFTWARE, we attended HIMSS 2019 Global Conference and Exhibition between 11 and 15 February 2019 in Orlando, USA.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Temel AKGÜN, Deputy General Manager Mr. Hakan KARATAŞ, Deputy General Manager Mrs. Züleyha AKGÜN GENÇER and Business Development Manager Mr. Yavuz GENÇER attended to the event from our company.

Visitors and guests showed a great attention to our booth.

We hosted many national and international experts and professionals from the health informatics sector at the exhibition. Turkish Republic Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Şuayip Birinci honored us with his visit in our booth. Mr. Birinci and our Chairman of Board of Directors, Mr. Temel Akgün discussed the improvement of digitalization in healthcare and its contribution to productivity.

In our booth, which was situated in the main exhibition area, we presented our healthcare solutions and medical products including our comprehensive Web 4.0 HIMS Hospital Information Management System, preventive health care Artificial Intelligence Products X-Eye Mammo Breast Cancer Decision Support System and X-Eye Toraks Computer Aided Diagnostic System in Lung Images. In addition to these, we also presented some of the most important requirements of HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7 accreditation, i-Vital Intensive Care Management System and Mobile Anka IOS/Android/Windows Mobile Application System to the healthcare professionals.

Yozgat City Hospital, where AKGUN SOFTWARE solutions are used, was announced as the first hospital in Europe to receive HIMSS EMRAM STAGE 7 accreditation.

The most important fact of the event for us with no doubt was that the announcement of the HIMSS EMRAM STAGE 7 accreditation of Turkey’s First City Hospital, Yozgat City Hospital, which uses the end-to-end solutions of AKGUN SOFTWARE.

Yozgat City Hospital was accredited with HIMSS EMRAM STAGE 7 on 30 November 2018, which makes it the first hospital to receive STAGE 7 accreditation in Europe with the updated 2018 HIMSS EMRAM criteria. Some of the most important aspects that bring Yozgat City Hospital this success is its end-to-end continuous, sustainable, secure and integrated structure. AKGUN SOFTWARE healthcare solutions and software products including HIMS (Hospital Information Management System), LIS, RIS, PACS, Mobile Applications, Intensive Care Management System, Device Integrations, Medical Content and Drug Database Integrations, Increasing Patient Safety and Reducing Medical Errors, Digitalization of Doctor and Nurse Processes and Supporting with Clinical Decision Support Systems are being successfully used in this hospital.

Turkish Republic Ministry of Health organized a meeting in the event with the participation of Turkish companies and their representatives. Our Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Temel Akgün attended the meeting on behalf of AKGUN SOFTWARE. The agenda of the meeting was the progress and development of our country in the healthcare sector, and the participants shared their opinions on how to overcome the encountered problems and the challenges.
